I know this is a sensitive topic but I think it's worth discussing openly since many members are considering international options due to US pricing. I've ordered from two international vendors shipping to the US and want to share my customs experiences. Vendor A (UK-based, 503-equivalent licensed): - Ordered semaglutide 5mg vials x3 - Shipped via Royal Mail International Tracked - Customs status: Cleared without issue (3 separate orders over 6 months) - Total transit time: 8-12 days - Price: £79 (~$102 USD) per vial - HPLC tested via Janoshik: 97.9% purity - Declared as "compounded pharmaceutical preparation" on customs form Vendor B (India-based): - Ordered tirzepatide 30mg vials x2 - Shipped via DHL Express - Customs status: First order cleared fine (5 days). Second order held for 3 weeks then SEIZED. - Price: $89 per vial (incredible price but...) - Could not test since product was seized - Got a letter from FDA about "unapproved drug importation" The FDA letter was intimidating but after researching it, it's essentially a warning with no enforcement action for personal-use quantities. However, it's on file now and I worry about future orders being flagged. Want to hear others' experiences, especially with different countries of origin.

I need to put some important disclaimers on this thread: 1. Importing prescription medications into the US without FDA approval is technically illegal under the FD&C Act, even for personal use 2. The FDA has a general enforcement discretion policy for personal-use importation (quantities ≤3 months supply, no commercial intent, no known safety risk) but this is NOT a legal right — it's discretionary 3. This forum does not endorse or encourage importing unapproved drugs 4. We allow this discussion for informational purposes only — members make their own risk assessments With those disclaimers in place, this is a topic many members have questions about so I'll leave the thread open for discussion. Appreciate the balanced moderation. To add to the OP's experience: I've imported from a Canadian compounder (NAPRA-licensed, which is Canada's pharmacy regulatory framework) four times: - All 4 cleared customs without issue - Transit time: 5-7 days via Canada Post/USPS - Declared as "prescription medication for personal use" - Cost: CAD $169 (~$125 USD) per semaglutide 5mg vial - Janoshik HPLC on one order: 98.4% Canada seems to have the smoothest customs experience, likely because: 1. Geographic proximity means less scrutiny than parcels from Asia 2. Canadian pharmacy standards are recognized by US regulators 3. Cross-border prescription filling has legal precedent (many US patients fill Canadian prescriptions) Still technically in a legal gray area but practically speaking, I've had zero issues.

The seizure experience the OP described with the India shipment is common. From what I've gathered on various forums: - Canada/UK/EU origin: ~95% clearance rate for personal quantities - India/China origin: ~60-70% clearance rate, higher seizure risk - Packages declared as "research chemicals" or "cosmetic peptides": higher seizure risk than those declared as "prescription medication" - DHL/FedEx (formal customs entry): slightly higher seizure risk than USPS/postal mail (informal entry under $800) These aren't scientific numbers, just aggregated from community reports. Your mileage will absolutely vary.

This is eye-opening. The price difference is massive — $89-125 internationally vs $250-300 domestically for tirzepatide. Even with the seizure risk, the economics are tempting. But what about quality assurance? US 503A/503B pharmacies have state board oversight. How do you verify that an international vendor is actually meeting quality standards?
