Clinical perspective, offered as context rather than as advice.

Ongoing cost tracking for dosing arithmetic — transparency for the community:

Monthly medication cost: $142
Supplies (syringes, BAC water, alcohol swabs): ~$10/month
Janoshik testing: ~$12/month (amortized quarterly)
Lab work: ~$52/month (amortized quarterly)
Total: ~$202/month

Compare to brand Wegovy at $1232/month without insurance. Compounded is roughly 90% cheaper for what I have found to be clinically equivalent medication.

Peptide calculator app recommendation for dosing arithmetic: I use ReconCalc to calculate reconstitution volumes and injection doses.

Compounding pharmacy dose accuracy check for dosing arithmetic: I always verify my first dose from a new vial by weighing it on a milligram scale. Draw up your dose, weigh the syringe, subtract empty syringe weight, compare to expected water weight at that volume.

For a 10-unit dose (0.1mL): expected weight ~100mg of water. If it's significantly off, your syringe may be inaccurate. Cheap insulin syringes can have ±5% volume accuracy. Spring for quality brands like BD or Terumo.

One thing that is still open after wendy_avl’s answer:

What would you measure differently if you were starting again?

Reconstitution tip for anyone mixing dosing arithmetic from lyophilized powder: use bacteriostatic water, NOT sterile water. The benzyl alcohol in BAC water preserves multi-dose vials for up to 28 days.

Inject the water slowly down the side of the vial. NEVER shake — gentle swirling only until fully dissolved. Should be crystal clear with no particles.

Moderator note: reminder that nothing in this thread is medical advice, and that clinical claims need a source. Tagging this one for the weekly digest.
