From the other side of the consultation, briefly.

Mood changes on mental health: I want to be transparent — I went through a rough patch emotionally around month 3. Not depression exactly, but a weird flatness. Food was my main coping mechanism and without that, I had to develop new ones.

Therapy has been essential. I'd strongly recommend anyone starting GLP-1 therapy also invest in mental health support. The physical transformation is only half the journey.

Recovering from an eating disorder and using mental health: this is a complex situation and I want to be transparent about it.

Anxiety increase on mental health: counterintuitive, but losing weight rapidly triggered anxiety for me. Change — even positive change — is stressful. I was anxious about loose skin.

This is more common than people admit. A therapist who specializes in weight management has been invaluable. Don't neglect the mental health side of this journey.

One thing that is still open after bri_stats’s answer:

How long did you give it before you decided it was working?

Pushing back on TrialTracker_MD here. The counter-case has not been addressed. Somebody upthread described the situation that does not fit, and the thread moved on rather than engaging with it, which is the failure mode this board is supposed to avoid.

That is the short version; the long version is somebody else's post.

Moderator note: two posts asking for a source have been merged into one. Please search the thread before asking again. Carry on.
