I have used three payment routes and the only thing that changed with each was how much leverage I had when something went wrong.

The question I want answered is how people are thinking about the trade-off between reversibility and privacy, because you cannot have both.

If the honest answer is that nobody knows, that is a useful answer and I would rather have it.

This one has a reasonably settled answer, so here it is. The version of this that has an answer is narrower than the version being asked. Narrow it and it becomes tractable; leave it broad and the thread will produce nine confident and incompatible replies.

Fair, and it stops being fair at the extremes. The middle of the range is well understood; the ends are where the honest answer is that nobody knows.

Same experience, arrived at from the opposite direction. The detail I would add is minor and it is already implied above.

Adding the clinical framing, because it changes how the question reads. Order of operations matters more than any single choice here: establish a baseline, change one thing, wait long enough for it to express itself, then measure again under the same conditions.
