Can we talk about "Ozempic face" specifically? I've lost volume in my cheeks, nasolabial folds are deeper, and I look about 5 years older than I did a year ago. It's ironic — my body looks younger but my face looks older.

My derm mentioned hyaluronic acid filler as an option. Anyone done this?

I got Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) for volume loss in my cheeks and temples. It stimulates your own collagen production rather than just filling space. Two sessions, about $1,200 total. The results are subtle but I look less gaunt. My partner said I look "refreshed" which is code for "less tired-looking" lol.

HA fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) are another option but they're temporary (6-18 months). Sculptra results can last 2+ years because it's actually building collagen structure.

Quick note on the rate of weight loss and skin: one underappreciated strategy is to SLOW DOWN the weight loss once you've achieved significant loss. If you're on a high sema dose and losing rapidly, discussing a dose reduction with your provider to slow the loss phase and give your skin more remodeling time is reasonable. Losing the last 20-30 lbs over 6-8 months instead of 2-3 months can make a real difference for skin.

This is another argument for the dose reduction maintenance approach that several of us have discussed in other threads. Aggressive max-dose maintenance isn't always optimal.

Thank you everyone. This is hard to talk about because people tell you to be grateful for the weight loss (and I am!!) but the loose skin is its own body image issue. Nice to have a space where we can discuss it honestly without judgment. ❤️
