I set hourly water alarms on my phone when I started semaglutide because I knew I'd forget to drink. Every hour from 7am to 9pm, my phone reminds me to drink 8oz. Sounds annoying but it became habit within 2 weeks and now I don't even need the alarms. 14 months in, zero kidney issues, urine always pale. Prevention is SO much easier than passing a stone.

That hourly alarm idea is brilliant and I'm stealing it immediately. The stone cost me an ER visit ($3,200 after insurance), a CT scan, pain medication, a missed week of work, and more pain than I ever want to experience again. A water bottle and phone alarm are infinitely cheaper. PLEASE learn from my mistake everyone.

One more critical point: if you're on GLP-1 medications and you experience ANY flank pain (pain in your side/back between your ribs and hip), painful urination, blood in urine, or persistent nausea with back pain — get evaluated promptly. Early stone detection allows for more treatment options. And absolutely agree with the hydration tracking recommendation. The patients who do best on GLP-1s long-term are the ones who treat hydration as seriously as they treat the medication itself.
