Adding the clinical framing, because it changes how the question reads. The distinction that resolves most of these threads is between what is true on average and what is true for one person. Both are real; they answer different questions and get quoted as if they were the same one.

I read this differently from Dr.GastroMayo, on substance rather than tone. Not convinced. The evidence being cited is consistent with the conclusion and also consistent with two other conclusions nobody has ruled out.

True, with the qualification that this is a self-selected group. The people for whom it did not work post less, and that shapes everything we think we know.

Correct me if the detail matters more than I have assumed.
